Mission

Through intersection of performances, arts education, and civil engagement, Desi Dance Network seeks to empower South Asian artists by creating and developing safe spaces for artistic and creative growth. We believe there is an artist in everyone. We believe in liberating the artist.

Vision

Desi Dance Network exists to combat cultural erasure and challenge the mainstream notions of identity by providing a platform that promotes narratives through Desi dance, music, and arts.

Desi Dance Network became a 501(c)3 nonprofit in August, 2015. As a result, all your donations to support our cause is tax deductible. Additionally, your employers may even match your donations dollar for dollar! Desi Dance Network is based in the Bay Area, but continues to operate programs with selected partners across the United States, and some parts of Canada.

Our programs focus on helping develop artists ranging from 16-24 years old. However, we also serve communities outside of this age group with open workshops, performances, and private classes.
